Books: There are millions of books on pregnancy, child birth and raising children. What I am concentrating on at the moment is pregnancy (don’t want to get ahead of myself). Everyone always recommends “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”. This book has been around since the turn of the century (ok I exaggerate, but only a bit). Even the girl on the cover looks like she is stuck in a different decade. Don’t get me wrong it is a good book and very informative. My advice is to go to your local library and check out some books you may be interested in buying. That way you won’t be stuck with books you don’t like.

In my opinion, for what it’s worth, the best book is Jenny McCarthy’s “Belly Laughs”. This book is a hilarious look at being pregnant. She is no holds barred on topics such as peeing, constipation and nipple size. The book informative as well as funny and gives you a real expectation on what to expect. Especially, if you were like me and were still trying to figure out how you got pregnant!

Also, try The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy by Vicki Iovine. I read it while pregnant with all of mine and it was fabulous!
