I can't believe that it has been 2 weeks since I had my baby! The past 2 weeks have been pure bliss but also exhausting. I have so many things to write about, it is finding the time to write them. Today I am just happy I got to take a shower. I am also happy to announce that (I really hope this does not come across as arrogant or conceited) I went to the doctor Monday and I have lost 23 pounds! Loosing that much weight in 2 weeks is exciting! I only gained 30 pounds during my pregnancy so I have 7 to go. I attribute this weight loss to 2 things breast feeding and night sweats. Nobody told me about night sweats! I swear I sweat as much at night as I did during a spin class. I wake up drenched from head to toe, goodbye water weight! Did anyone else experience these?
Breast feeding is also wonderful for many reasons (I plan on writing an entire post about it). It bonds you with the baby, it is healthier for the baby, it is cheaper, AND it helps with weight loss. Too bad we can’t start breast feeding when we need to lose 5 pounds to fit into our skinny jeans! I actually eat more now than I did when I was pregnant. Don’t get me wrong, I try to make healthy choices but lately Reese’s pieces have been calling my name. I can’t exercise for another few weeks but am soooooo looking forward to it. I say that now but I am sure that when I am out of breath the first 5 minutes into a class or I am so sore after a workout, I can’t walk, I will rethink that statement. For now I am just happy that I don't have to wear pants with a stretchy elastic waist band.......but I will hold on to those pants just in case.....I ever feel bloated!
