SWINGS!

Swings- I have always been a big fan of swings.  I have had a swing at my house since I was little.  I have enjoyed playing on them as a child and having Sunday morning coffee on them when I grew up.  However, the swings that I am LOVING this week are not for me but for my daughter.  She has 2 swings.  One is in my living room and the other is in the bedroom.  During the day the swing in the living room keeps her occupied.  It turns so she can look out the window and swing back and forth, or she can watch me as I do yoga and swing right to left.  The swing in my bedroom was a gift from my BFF Sophia after her daughter grew out of it.  It is a new concept swing that not only swings but it also glides.  The seat is shaped is like a cradle and can be adjusted to sit up or recline.  It plays music and has a mobile.  The greatest feature is that it can plug into the wall!  So your baby can swing all night.  This is where my daughter sleeps.  I find that the slight incline helps her to spit up less (unless she has already done so in my bed).  If you have a baby a swing is a must have!  Something about the motion makes them happy, quiet and most importantly helps them sleep!  YAY!!!!

Another good one Amy! And another one that I can relate too! Bailey was a spitter and hated, I repeat HATED sleeping on her back! So one night I just could not take it anymore and decided to let her stay in the swing at the foot of our bed as long as she wanted. That was the first 4 hour stretch of nighttime sleep that I had! Mama didn't raise no dummy...she slept in her swing often! I was a little paranoid so I mentioned it at the next Dr's visit and our Dr said she is probably safer there than in the crib anyway!!!!

Thanks for this great post! I'm trying to figure out which swing(s) I want ... I registered for the "My Little Lamb" - does that ring a bell? It looks like the one pictured above. What kind(s) plug in? I hear the batteries tend to run out fast, so that sounds like a great idea.
