I have sat down many times to my computer to try to write my come blog come back. During this process I would come to the conclusion that I had nothing to write about, and then I met Melissa. I was at the grocery store today with my daughter; a young woman approached me and asked me when I had her ears pierced. (See my blog Milestones on this subject) I told her and she began asking me many questions about being a mom. She is a new mom of 5 month old twins, a boy and a girl. We discussed many topics in the produce section. Before we departed she asked me if I was on FaceBook and if it would be ok to contact me with any questions she may have. Absolutely! Then I thought it would be awesome if I could give her my blog address, but my blog was out dated. So here I am. I stopped writing my blog because I was involved in a custody battle. I realized that everything you say and write can be used against you in a court of law. So I decided to stop writing for a while.
As soon as I started thinking about writing again all of these ideas came to mind. How could I have ever thought I had nothing to write about?! I am a mom. I am a single mom. I am a single working mom. I am a single working mom with a 1 year old daughter. I am a single working mom with a 1 year old daughter, who at the present time is working the most demanding job I have ever worked, has no time to work out, is trying to date, finish school (6 hours left!), and just went through a custody case (the most frightening experience I’ve ever been through). So all that being stated I am sure I will come up with topics to write about. Any problem I have, will be finding the time to write them.
For those of you, who are new to my blog, WELCOME! Read some of my old blogs to get familiar with me and my story. In my writing I do not use my daughter’s name or post pictures of her. I have my “General Council” who are my 3 best friends (they’re names have been changed to protect their privacy as well), and I may share some of their stories as well. I have an abundance of things to share with all of you so please stay tuned!
Thanks to Melissa for your inspiration.
